David Love was around eight years old when his tech-savvy dad introduced him to coding. "It was a slow start for me," he says. "I wasn't too great at it."

Love continued building his knowledge of coding and computer science on his own. Now, the 16-year-old high school sophomore has two consecutive Congressional App Challenge wins under his belt.

Love won the 2020 challenge for Illinois' 2nd Congressional District with his entry of an app called Keychain External Login System. He describes the app in a video demonstration.

Love won the 2019 challenge for the district with his entry of Virtual ATM, which allows clients to securely log in to websites and complete monetary transactions.

Love is considering different career paths, including computer science. "I'll see where the road takes me," he says.
