Sandia National Laboratories researcher Kurt Ferreira has been selected for the 2015 IEEE Technical Committee on Scalable Computing Award for Excellence for Early Career Researchers. The award recognizes up to three individuals who have made influential and potentially long-lasting contributions in the field of scalable computing within five years of receiving their doctorate.
Ferreira's research interests include designing and constructing operating systems and run times for massively parallel systems, as well as innovative application and system-level fault-tolerance mechanisms.
