Here's Where All That Tech Talent Goes

Illinois computer science graduates are in demand among the big technology companies. That means those grads end up living and working outside of the state.
Google, for example, employs the vast majority of Illinois CS grads somewhere beyond the state, though 11 percent report working in-state.
Most CS grads stick close to home. Chicago is the overwhelming destination for computer-science grads from the state's universities, with 62 percent. San Francisco is runner-up at 12 percent.
