Some Mobile Game Players' Earnings Top The Average U.S. Salary
Gaming has become not only a way to have fun but also, for some, a way to earn a living. While PC games are prevalent, mobile gaming is on the rise. Figures show that there are approximately 2.4 billion active mobile gamers worldwide. How much money can you make when you turn this hobby into a profession?
OnBuy.com has identified the highest paid mobile game players from the U.S. of all time, and how much money they earned from tournaments.
At the top of the list is Brian Dragatto, a Turbo Racing League player who earned $290,000 from mobile game tournaments. To put that in perspective, mobile game tournaments earned Dragatto five times what the average American gets yearly. Second on the list is Randy Pfahl, another Turbo Racing League player, who earned $125,000 from mobile game tournaments.
The game of choice for the top American mobile game players is Turbo Racing League, with six out of the top 10 U.S. players earning good cash from playing this game. Other mobile games such as Clash Royale and Vainglory are also some favorites of U.S. players, including one using the pseudonym MusicMaster who earned $90,000 from playing Clash Royale in tournaments.
