Demand for data science professionals soared across industries in 2020 and is likely to continue in 2021. Recent predictions say there will be 3,037,809 new job openings in data science worldwide this year.
Data science, an inter-disciplinary field of data analysis, typically demands expertise and skills in gathering, structuring, storing, handling, and assessing data, enabling professionals and organizations to make data-driven decisions for business growth. The average salary of a data scientist in India is INR 1,000,000 (USD $13,6645).
An examination of the top data science salaries companies are offering in India in January 2021 shows that Google offers an average data scientist salary of INR 1,500,000 (USD $20,506) per year.
UnitedHealth Group's typical data scientist salary is INR 1,371,927 (USD $18,756), and IBM offers data scientists an average salary of INR 1,100,000 (USD $15,039) per year.
