Major Employers Scrap Plans to Cut Back on Offices

Most major global companies no longer plan to reduce their use of office space after the coronavirus pandemic, though few expect business to return to normal this year, according to the KPMG 2021 CEO Outlook Pulse Survey.
Just 17% of chief executives plan to cut back on offices, down from 69% in the KPMG August survey. And just 30 percent will have a majority of employees working remotely between 2-to-3 days per week.
The survey of 500 CEOs from organizations with annual revenue over US$500 million found that just 31% expect their operations to return to normal this year. Just 24% said the pandemic would permanently change their operations.
