The adoption of hiring automation has accelerated over the last 18 months as companies seek technical talent for in-person, hybrid-remote, and fully-remote positions, according to the HackerRank Innovator Report, based on responses from over 1,000 companies and 53 countries.
Only 47% of respondents say they use skills as the foundation for creating a tech job description, and only 41% are using technical skills assessments. This means that more than half of job requisitions and candidate selections are created with little to no standardization to measure candidates against.
A sophisticated hiring process can be a "secret weapon" in the current hot market for hiring top developers.
IT services companies, including tech recruiters, are very engaged in the adoption of technology to support hiring.
