Sultan Gustaf Al Ghozali, a 22-year-old computer science student in Indonesia, has converted as many as 1,000 of his selfies taken over the course of five years into NFTs and sold them on the OpenSea marketplace.
Ghozali took expressionless selfies while sitting or standing in front of his computer every day between the ages 18 and 22, and later turned these images into NFTs (non-fungible tokens). His collection of digital assets has touched a total trade volume of ETH 317, or US$1,041,325, making him a millionaire, according to a report by Lifestyle Asia.
Media reports suggest that Indonesian celebrities have also helped Ghozali in selling his selfies.
The 22-year-old took to Twitter to request restraint. "You can do anything like flippin but please don't abuse my pictures. Or else, my parents will be very disappointed in me," he tweeted.
