How WFH Workers Spend Their Time

Over-performing is celebrated in current culture, while resting and self-care are discounted, a corporate trainer says.

A survey of 1,000 Americans who worked from home over the past two years found that 56% had scrolled through social media for than 30 minutes, 55% watched television, and 46% took a nap during work hours.

The Go.Verizon.com survey, which focused on the mental health of those in the WFH workplace,  also found that 31% had gone to a therapy appointment.

"Companies must change their antiquated systems by offering successful Employee Wellness Programs and listening to what their employees need: more flexible work hours, mental health days, and a culture of well-being," says Claudia Grace, a corporate wellness coach. "Most employees feel their companies are not offering proper access and support to combat burnout, stress, and remove the stigma of mental health where they work."
