Attrition rates for IT companies with their back-ends in India have hit between 20% to 30%, which means those organizations are theoretically replacing their entire work force every three-and-a-half years or so.
There was difficulty finding skilled tech talent even before the pandemic, and the pandemic-induced explosion of digital solutions made everything worse. It also inspired a realization in many about the historical overemphasis of an office-centric existence.
Numerous polls show that employees worked harder than ever, and that their productivity, happiness, and job satisfaction rates were also higher than ever. Could this be a model for the future of work?
