A research group headed by Sona Kwak from the Korea Institute of Science and Technology has come up with a robotic library system called CollaBot that comprehends situational context by combining data gathered by numerous robotic products and also provides context-customized assistance.

The system comprised of lights, a robotic chair, tables, and a robotic bookshelf, allows a user to search for and choose a book of interest using their smartphone. The book is taken from the bookshelf in an automatic manner.

CollaBot received the best award in the "hardware, design, and interface" category at the Robot Design Competition hosted by ICSR 2022, the International Conference on Social Robotics.
