Executives have indicated that 40% of their workforce will need to be reskilled within the next three years in order to take proper advantage of artificial intelligence.
"AI won't replace people — but people who use AI will replace people who don't," says an IBM report. As machines take over mundane tasks, people can spend more time on the problem-solving and collaborative work that require stronger people skills, the report says.
"As we embark on a future where AI becomes an integral part of the workforce, our task is to adequately equip our employees for this key technology shift," says Andi Britt, senior partner at IBM Consulting.
