Internet connectivity was restored on University of Michigan campuses after several days of outages caused by a "significant security concern," officials said Wednesday (Aug. 30) on social media.
The Internet was shut down on Sunday after the university's Information Assurance Office, which addresses cybersecurity threats, identified a security concern.
"We expect some issues with select U-M systems and services in the short term, and not all of our remediation efforts are complete," said University of Michigan President Santa Ono.
An investigation into the security issue is ongoing and no other information will be released, Ono said.
