World University Rankings 2023: Computer Science
Fourteen schools in China are ranked in the top 200.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024 ranks computer science programs at 974 universities in 76 countries. The University of Oxford leads the table for the fifth consecutive year. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University take the second and third places. The Technical University of Munich, one of only two German institutions in the top 50, is the only newcomer to the top 10.
More than 100 of the featured universities are in America, and 61 are based in the U.K. Canada and Australia are represented by 28 institutions each.
Many ranking in the top 400 for the first time are in the Arab region. These include Jouf University of Saudi Arabia and Minia University of Egypt in the 251–300 band; and Jordan's Al-Balqa Applied University and Pakistan's University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila in the 301-400 band.
