Over 10,000 surveyed coders describe how ChatGPT is rewriting their learning narratives, reshaping career paths, and influencing their visions of an AI-forward world in a new report.

Key Insights:

  • 62% use ChatGPT multiple times per week to learn programming;
  • 77% of respondents feel that ChatGPT has improved their programming learning experience;
  • 30% feel ChatGPT outperforms college lectures, and over 36% favor ChatGPT over Google;
  • 84% feel educational institutions should adjust their programming curriculum for ChatGPT;
  • Almost 75% of respondents are either upskilling or planning to upskill to prepare for the impact of ChatGPT on the job market.
  • More than one-third of respondents have experienced some changes or shifts in their jobs due to ChatGPT.
