The Burning Glass Institute has published a list of the educational institutions whose graduates are the highest paid software engineers and computer scientists. Separate lists for public and private colleges were created using data from Lightcast and Glassdoor.
Stanford tops the list of private colleges, with graduates earning an average of $146,911 annually over a decade, compared to the median salary of $103,354. Ivy League colleges followed close behind with average graduate yearly salaries of $145.281 for Princeton grads, $144,183 for those from Harvard, and $141,195 per year for Brown. The California Institute of Technology placed fourth with $141,486.
In the list of public colleges,UC Berkeley tops the list at $138,971 average yearly salary, followed by UCLA ($124,778), the University of Washington, Seattle Campus ($122,054), University of California Davis ($121,661), and the University of California at San Diego ($121,586).
