At 34%-to-36%, the United States has the highest demand-supply gap in tech talent for 2023, followed by the U.K. with a 30%-to-32% gap, according to an analysis by NASSCOM. India has the lowest demand-supply talent gap among global tech leaders, at 25%-to-27%.
The tech industry employs over 5.4 million people in India, and the country produced 2.5 million STEM graduates in 2022-2023, NASSCOM says. The country's digital talent gap is expected to widen to 28%-to-29% in 2028, when demand for digital talent will exceed six million.
