It Jobs Rank High on List of Best Jobs in America
Software architect ranked as the top job on Money magazine and Payscale.com's list of the 100 best jobs in America. Database administrator, information systems security engineer, software engineering/development director, information technology (IT) manager, IT business analyst, and IT consultant also ranked among the top 30 jobs. Overall, IT jobs accounted for 26 positions on the list.
Money and Payscale.com defined best jobs as positions that offer high pay, solid growth opportunities, high job satisfaction, and a good quality of life.
Two IT jobs—web developer and technical writer—made the list of the 10 least stressful jobs, and two other IT jobs—information technology training specialist and information systems security engineer—made the top 10 list for job security.
