Google Releases New Web Development Aids

Google has released Leak Finder, a tool for finding memory leaks in JavaScript code and a library written in Dart for accessing popular Google application programming interfaces (APIs).
Leak Finder can identify unreferenced objects that have not been disposed and provide the information to a developer or, in machine-readable output, to automated application testing software. The library is an internally developed tool for Web developers that provides Dart-based connectors for accessing 35 Google API-based services, such as Google+, Google Calendar, and the company's Web address shortener.
Google developed Dart and has positioned the Web programming language as a better alternative to JavaScript for authoring complex Web applications. The company also provides several sample applications and says it continues to back the use of open Web technologies. Google, along with analysis firm Vizzuality and design company Hyperakt, recently released visualizations that show how rich the Web standards ecosystem has grown over the past 21 years.
