Unseen family photographs of Alan Turing are to be published for the first time as part of a new biography written by his nephew.
The pictures, published in Sir Dermot Turing’s new book, Prof – Alan Turing Decoded, show the mathematical genius as a boy on holiday years before he cracked Nazi Germany’s Enigma Code.
Turing is now considered the father of the modern computer with much of his ground-breaking work conducted at the University of Manchester.
