Chip Technology Keeps Checked Luggage in Check

McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas

McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas decided as part of a renovation in 2005 to become fully capable of incorporating radio chips into the bag-checking and sorting system. It has handled 160 million chip-tagged bags in the last 10 years.
