Coding Dojo recently released a list of the top seven most in-demand programming languages coders should be aware of over the next year. "New and in-demand programming languages, frameworks, and technologies can emerge, rise to fame, and then fade away in the course of a few years," which means developers should be constantly learning new skills, says Coding Dojo's Speros Misirlakis.

The company analyzed data from Indeed on 25 programming languages, stacks, and frameworks to determine which were the seven most in demand by employers. The analysis found that Java is the most in-demand language, with 68,000 jobs in 2017, but that figure is expected to decrease to 62,000 in 2018. Meanwhile, Python is expected to grow from 41,000 jobs in 2017 to 46,000 jobs in 2018. JavaScript ranked third, with 40,000 jobs in 2017, but is projected to dip to 38,000 in 2018. C++ and C# were fourth and fifth, respectively, followed by PHP and Perl.
