New Genre of AI Programs Take Hacking to Another Level

At the Black Hat security conference in Las Vegas this week, IBM revealed the existence of a variety of artificial intelligence (AI) hacking programs that could get past top-tier defensive measures.
IBM researchers say the AI-driven programs can be trained to remain dormant until they reach a specific target.
A demonstration of IBM's DeepLocker software exploited publicly available photos of a target in conjunction with a hacked version of videoconferencing software that activated only when it detected the target's face.
Said IBM's Marc Ph. Stoecklin, "We have a lot of reason to believe this is the next big thing. This may have happened already, and we will see it two or three years from now."
