Canadian researchers have reportedly uncovered a Chinese cyber plot that hacked the Web sites of the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, and systems in the embassies of India, South Korea, Indonesia, Taiwan, Germany and other foreign governments.They said that the operation has stolen documents from hundreds of government and private offices around the world. The New York Times Web site reported Saturday that researchers based at the University of Toronto said the system was being controlled from computers based almost exclusively in China, but they could not say conclusively that the Chinese government was involved.
