Young European entrepreneurs ranked in Forbes' latest 30 Under 30 list are pushing the envelope of artificial intelligence (AI) applications for consumers and companies.

For example, Phoebe Hugh, founder of the startup Brolly, is taking her AI-driven insurance assistant to the biggest British insurers, providing analysis and personalized advice to help people save time and money.

Meanwhile, CleoAI co-founder Barney Hussey-Yeo has raised $14 million for an AI-based finance-management tool.

Badi CEO Carlos Pierre is running a platform in Italy that uses machine learning to match tenants, roommates, and landlords, according to preferences, personalities, and interests.

Another firm, Simi Awokoya's Witty Careers in the U.K., aims to educate and equip underrepresented groups in technology, offering mentoring to minority women to succeed in the industry.
