Drone Racing Fans Have Some Questions: Where's the Drone? Who's Winning?

With drone racing becoming more popular, spectators and commentators need better ways of seeing which drones are ahead and which are falling behind.
The New York-based Drone Racing League said it lights up drones in different hues to correspond to various pilots.
The League also aims to use higher-resolution cameras on courses in its coming season, to make the drones appear larger to TV viewers.
Meanwhile, an Australian company has developed a racing drone that is twice as big as a standard drone to enhance visibility, as most racing drones are small, for better maneuverability in the air.
Some dedicated fans bring video goggles to events so they can tap into pilots' video feeds, but technical difficulties like signal interference can detract from the experience.
