Famous Scottish Reformation Church Virtually Reconstructed After 500 years
University of St. Andrews researchers combined computer technology with historical research to create a virtual reconstruction of how the original St. Andrews Cathedral looked just before the Reformation of 1559.

Researchers at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland have combined computer technology with historical research to create a virtual reconstruction of how the original St. Andrews Cathedral looked just before the Reformation of 1559.
The team used historic documents and images to reveal the church's 16th century appearance, and digital modeling and virtual reality systems to create a virtual time travel exhibit.
Visitors can experience a virtual reality version of the reconstruction as part of the Divine and Human exhibition at Holy Trinity Church in St Andrews.
