Facebook's New Tool Lets You See Which Apps, Websites Tracked You
Facebook has begun releasing a tool that lets users see and control the information the company collects about their browsing habits outside the social network.

Researchers at Facebook have developed a tool that lets users better see and control the information the company has collected about their browsing habits outside the social network.
The tool, called Off-Facebook Activity, allows users to view the hundreds of sites and apps that share data and customer information with Facebook; users can disconnect the data from their account if they want.
The introduction of the new tool is Facebook's latest attempt to alleviate criticism over how it safeguards users' privacy.
However, the new tool is unlikely to please all of Facebook's critics, as the company will continue to retain all browsing data of users on Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger.
