Vinton G. Cerf tweeted that he and his wife are no longer contagious with COVID-19.

Internet pioneer Vinton G. Cerf tweeted Friday that he and his wife are recovering from COVID-19, the coronavirus disease.

"Good news," Cerf tweeted. "VA Public Health has certified my wife and me as no longer contagious with COVID19. Recovering!"

The positive report follows Cerf's March 30 tweet in which he announced he had tested positive for COVID-19.

Both tweets were met with scores of retweets, likes, and positive feedback.

Cerf, vice president and Chief Internet Evangelist for Google and a recipient of the ACM A.M. Turing Award, has posted a number of tweets about COVID-19 and the coronavirus over the past week.

Google is publishing COVID-19 Community Mobility Reports with information that could be helpful to those making critical decisions in combating COVID-19.
