Amazon Web Services has launched a service that enables non-coders to write applications, which could broaden the cloud service's audience beyond programmers. The Honeycode service features a visual interface that can be used to build applications to schedule managing tasks and track customers, among other purposes.
Fees will be based on storage and number of users, but Honeycode is free for up to 20 users and up to 2,500 rows of data in a spreadsheet that accompanies the product.
The service currently is available in one AWS region. The company plans to allow data to be exported from Honeycode.
