The U.K. Cyber Security Council, a new independent body that will launch on March 31, aims to serve as a "one-stop shop" for people seeking careers in information security.
The Council will oversee training and standards in the U.K. cybersecurity industry, working with training providers to accredit courses and qualifications.
It also will provide employers with the necessary information for employee recruitment and offer workers a clear roadmap to achieving a cybersecurity career.
The Council will work closely with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).
NCSC's Chris Ensor said, "Cybersecurity is a growing industry in the U.K. and it's vital for high standards of practice and technical expertise to be at the heart of the profession as it develops."
