A simple yet elegant change to code studied for more than 20 years could shorten timeline to achieve scalable quantum computation and has attracted the attention of quantum computing programs at Amazon Web Services and Yale University.

What started out as a second-year physics project is making its way into Amazon Web Service's (AWS) program.

University of Sydney science undergraduate Pablo Bonilla Ataides has tweaked some computing to effectively double its capacity to correct errors in the quantum machines being designed in the emerging technology sector.
