Researchers at Israeli artificial intelligence (AI) company AI21 Labs have developed and released an AI model of late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
The Ask Ruth Bader Ginsburg bot uses a language processing program trained on 27 years of Ginsburg's legal writings, and interviews and public speeches, to predict her answers to questions.
The researchers built the model using Jurassic-1, a neural network that analyzes large datasets and develops its own language to generate results to questions or prompts.
AI21 Labs' Yoav Shoham said the model offers the general public an opportunity to engage with AI technology, so they can make up their own mind about its application.
AI experts cautioned that the model does not actually think and reason, nor should anyone construe its answers as legal advice.
