Designers in Hong Kong Try Out New Assistant: AI Fashion Maven AiDA
More than 80 outfits from 14 designers were shown, all created with the help of the artificial intelligence software AiDA (AI-based Interactive Design Assistant).

Fashion designers in Hong Kong showcased ensembles co-created by the Artificial intelligence-based Interactive Design Assistant (AiDA) at the Fashion X AI show.
Scientists at Hong Kong's Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence in Design (AiDLab) developed the software, which 14 designers used to craft more than 80 outfits displayed at the event.
AiDLab's Calvin Wong said AiDA was engineered as a "supporting tool" for designers, underpinned by image recognition, detection, and image generation technologies. Designers can upload draft sketches, materials, and color palettes to a virtual mood board, and AiDA's algorithm produces blueprints that they can tinker with.
Wong said the system can generate a dozen fashion templates in 10 seconds.
