Last year was when artificial intelligence appeared to come into its own, with seemingly magical bots creating images, answering questions, even writing literature.
But as with all new tools, society has to figure out which tasks AI is best for, and how to use it without breaking things. That's especially tricky when we're still trying to figure out what the technology can even do in the first place.
We set out to identify some of the thorniest questions that AI poses—or will pose—for all sorts of people in all sorts of fields. These are questions with no right or wrong answers, but are designed to make us think about how AI could change, well, almost everything.
