The U.S. Defense Department's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) announced on Wednesday it is launching a two-year competition titled the AI Cyber Challenge (AIxCC), in which computer scientists and artificial intelligence (AI) experts will be asked to develop "a new generation of cybersecurity tools."
"AIxCC represents a first-of-its-kind collaboration between top AI companies, led by DARPA, to create AI-driven systems to help address one of society's greatest challenges – cybersecurity," DARPA's AIxCC program manager, Perri Adanms stated.
