More Developers Are Using the Rust Language
The survey found that 30% of Rust users can write simple programs in the language, 27% can write production-ready code, and 42% consider themselves productive using Rust.

The 2022 State of Rust Survey published earlier this month found more developers using the programming language than ever before.
More than 90% of the 9,433 project maintainers, contributors, and those generally interested in the future of Rust who completed the survey between Dec. 5, 2021 and Dec. 22, 2022 use the Rust programming language.
The percentage of respondents who use Rust on a daily basis rose to 47%, up 4% from the previous year.
Of the respondents using Rust, 30% confirmed their ability to use it to write simple programs, 27% can use it to write production-ready code, and 42% consider themselves productive Rust users.
Another 29.7% said they use the language for most of their workplace coding.
However, 30% of former Rust users said they gave it up because it was too difficult.
Of those respondents worried about the future of the language, 38% cited concerns about it becoming too complex, and 26% conveyed concerns about lack of support for the language's developers and maintainers.
