A lunar robot developed by researchers at Japan's Doshisha University, toy manufacturer Takara Tomy, Sony Group, and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) successfully landed on the Moon.

Lunar Excursion Vehicle-2 (LEV-2), dubbed "SORA-Q," was aboard the Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (SLIM) spacecraft as part of JAXA's "Moon Sniper" mission

The spherical robot was designed to separate its two halves into individually controlled wheels and travel on the lunar surfaces, using its onboard camera to take photos of the lander and its surroundings.
