The U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) named the 60 winning teams for its third TechRise Student Challenge, including more than 490 students representing 46 states and territories.
The winners addressed a variety of science and technology challenges, including using sensors such as thermal cameras and LiDAR to map a simulated lunar surface.
Each team will receive $1,500 to build their experiments, which will fly on one of two commercial suborbital flight platforms this summer.
