Using a quantum simulator they developed, researchers at Fujitsu demonstrated a new method that boosts the computational speed of quantum-classical hybrid algorithms by 200 times compared to previous simulations.

The researchers developed the quantum simulator using VQE, a Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum Computer algorithm, then increased computational speed by distributing multiple repetitively executed quantum circuit computations at the same time they reduced accuracy degradation to cut the amount of quantum circuit computations.

The technology will be integrated into Fujitsu's hybrid quantum computing platform.
