Could the U.S. Repel a Massive Distributed Cyber Attack?

While Russia and the U.S. spend billions on heavy military hardware, much of it controlled by computers, China is concentrating on education and hacking. The U.S. is still outsourcing computer work because of the lure of lower costs. At the same time, the level of education in the U.S. is sliding backwards and fewer students are preparing for and taking computer science degrees. Capitalism could end up being the downfall of the U.S., as it further becomes a consumer of resources, producer of none, outsourcing brainpower and capabilities overseas.
