H-1B Visas Spur Debate Over Skilled Foreign Workers
The value of skilled immigrants with H-1B visas provokes a wide range of opinions and commentary, from IT workers, a former H-1B visa holder, a displaced worker, immigrant professionals, and others. One writer calls the temporary visa holders "slaves to their employers." Another says they may be good for multinational employers but "that's not the same as being 'good for America.'" A third states that "a key to U.S. leadership is the ability to attract the smart people from different countries."
