In computational science, among the many different strategies implemented to avoid perpetuating the reproducibility crisis, is the sharing of code and data, with the primary goal of allowing researchers to reproduce the results of a manuscript using their own machines.
This is certainly an important step that has improved the reporting standards in science, but researchers often focus solely on reproducibility and may not pay enough attention to another equally important concept: reusability.
