The Rise of Big Tech May Just Be Starting

For years, pundits have been predicting that tech giants would eventually run up against the so-called "law of large numbers." Yet Big Tech keeps breaking the law.

What is driving tech giants' stupefying growth? It's not just that the pandemic drove a lot more usage of tech. A bigger deal is that the pandemic illustrated how much room there still is in our lives for adding even more tech—for our screens to become the primary portal through which a handful of companies capture a slice of everything we do.
