An Interview with Jon Kleinberg

Jon Kleinberg tallied a long list of awards and achievements before being named recipient of the 2008 ACM – Infosys Foundation Award in the Computer Sciences at age 38. Kleinberg, Tisch University Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Cornell University, has received an NSF Career Award, an ONR Young Investigator Award, a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship, a Packard Foundation Fellowship, a Sloan Foundation Fellowship, plus grants from Google, Yahoo!, and the NSF. He spent a year as visiting scientist at the IBM Almaden Research Center. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
The ACM – Infosys Foundation Award recognizes Kleinberg's contributions to the science of networks and the World Wide Web. It will be presented at the ACM Awards Banquet on June 27, 2009, in San Diego, CA.
The 45-minute audio interview is conducted by Stephen Ibaraki, a renowned information communication technology authority.
