Anil Kakodkar, the chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission of India, emphasized the need to take nation-building scientific technologies to the masses in national and regional languages to enable effective dissemination of science and societal advancements.
"It is important to develop advanced technologies for nation building and to put India on global technological map it is important to use English, but it is more important to take the technologies to the masses developed by Department of Atomic Energy through people's language, using Hindi and other regional languages and dialects to receive value additions," Kakodkar said, addressing a conference on 'Creating Awareness and Dissemination of Science through Hindi.'
