"In the upcoming years, the aged proprietary vendors and the problems they solved become less and less common. The new problems can be solved with lighter-weight, less expensive and much simpler BI [business intelligence] tools that are either on-premises or in the cloud," says Jaspersoft CEO Brian Gentile. "That will become more and more prominent."
