To recognize Francis Allotey's achievement in the promotion of science development, the government of Ghana issued a postage stamp with his portrait.

Alumnus Professor Francis Allotey has worked tirelessly to promote math, physics, and computer sciences in Ghana and Africa more widely. Now he is working with Imperial College mathematicians to create a network of math researchers in developing countries. 

He spoke recently about how he caught the science bug and what inspired him to pass it on.
