Former government tech consultant Robin Carnahan serves as administrator of the General Services Administration, the agency that oversees government acquisitions, including of technology.

Whether you believe that government should be more involved in Americans' lives or less, taxpayers deserve good value for the technology they fund. We often don't get it, and it's Robin Carnahan's job to tackle this problem.

In an interview, the former Missouri secretary of state discusses how the administration plans to fix the government's technology problem by changing the technology procurement process, simplifying government tech for the people using it, and increasing the appeal of government tech careers.
